iPhone 5, A personal review

I have been using iPhone 5 for more than 6 months now and I must say that I am enjoying every single dollar that I spend. The main features which I was waiting for was the larger display and the 4G LTE data speed. I am using the voice and data altogether at one go as I preferred buying the iPhone 5 with IOS 6 in full and not go with the plan. I must admit iPhone 5 was not my first choice and it definitely was an easy one as well. With the smart phone market now full of new and innovative devices it was a brain teaser to decide what smart phone would best suite my needs and personality. My mind was working through smart phones like Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3, HTC ONE X, NEXUS smart phone, Nexus 4 and others, but as time will tell I went with iPhone 5 after consulting with my cabinet ministers i.e. my friends.

The design of the iPhone 5 was eye catching as to its predecessor who had a plastic look and feel to it; this one was a marvel of beauty. It is extremely comfortable to touch and feel while you’re on a call and the slim design fits just perfectly in your hand while you’re using your thumb for browsing through the phone. The thought behind it is as if you are shaking someone’s hand which is creative and eye catching. The official weight of the iPhone is 112 grams which is very light and durable.

Speed is also a plus point for iPhone 5 which is the quickest among the smart phones in the market. I have found that applications open very quickly and you cannot feel any lag or delay in the loading of the system with IOS 6. The main two things which boost the speed of the phone are the increased RAM and a faster processor.

The camera is one of the best features of iPhone 5 with its 8MP iSight rear camera that was a massive improvement from its predecessor especially if you are making a video in low light or taking a picture in low light, it gives high quality image. The video has impressed me the most, the quality and the sound are fantastic and gives you the feel of a professional camera.

attery life is a bit vary if you’re a power user i.e. you play games, see YouTube videos or do heavy work on it. For general everyday user the power is quite well and needs recharge every day. It all depends on the usage of the mobile, if you’re a gamer then you need to recharge it every half day as the battery does drop by quickly. One thing you need to understand is no smart phone will give you big battery life if you use it for gaming or if you are a power user.

In a final thought one thing I must say even if you buy or not this iPhone 5 is in the top of the list for all users as you can run iPhone apps developed by people on it easily, with some issues in their IOS 6 which Apple updates regularly I can say that it is indeed a great hit and a great sale for Apple. At the end the decision is with you if I have influenced you in any way.

The iPhone 5, released in 2012, marked a significant milestone in Apple’s smartphone evolution. Boasting a sleek aluminum and glass design, this device captured attention for its compact form factor and impressive performance. The 4-inch Retina display delivered vibrant visuals, and the A6 chip ensured smooth operation.

The iPhone 5 introduced users to the Lightning connector, replacing the traditional 30-pin connector. This change, while initially met with mixed reactions, paved the way for enhanced connectivity and faster data transfer. The device also featured an 8-megapixel camera with improved low-light performance, allowing users to capture vivid photos and 1080p HD videos.

One notable aspect of the iPhone 5 was its role in popularizing 4G LTE connectivity, providing faster internet speeds for browsing and streaming. The inclusion of iOS 6 brought new features, including Apple Maps and Passbook.

While the iPhone 5 is no longer part of Apple’s active product lineup, its legacy endures as a device that bridged the era between the iPhone 4S and the later models. For those who experienced the iPhone 5, it remains a nostalgic reminder of a time when Apple was making strides in design and technology, laying the groundwork for the future of the iPhone series.
